Memphis, Tennessee – Easter Sunday travel across the Mid-South is expected to remain steady, with near-normal temperatures and only spotty rain briefly impacting early holiday plans.
According to the National Weather Service, a stable weather pattern will hold across much of the central U.S. through Wednesday night, keeping precipitation near to slightly below normal. Areas including Memphis, Jackson, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, and northern Mississippi may see isolated light showers early Sunday between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., but widespread rain is not expected.
Major corridors such as I-40, I-55, and I-240 should remain in good condition, with only brief wet pavement possible during passing showers. Visibility concerns will be minimal, especially compared to heavier rain zones along the East Coast.
Temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, providing comfortable conditions for Easter gatherings, outdoor church services, and egg hunts. Morning hours may feel slightly cool, but afternoon temperatures will support extended outdoor activities.
Communities across the region, including Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Tupelo, Mississippi, will see extended dry periods through the holiday weekend.
This quiet pattern continues into midweek, with only occasional light rain chances returning and no major travel disruptions or advisories expected.
