Philadelphia, PA – Strong thunderstorms with damaging winds and flash flooding are expected to hit eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware late Tuesday afternoon into the evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe storms is in effect for July 1 across the I-95 corridor, with gusts up to 60 mph and rainfall rates high enough to trigger localized flash flooding. The threat zone includes Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, Vineland, and Cape May.

Storms are expected to develop after 3 p.m. Tuesday, becoming more widespread through sunset. The Weather Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk of excessive rainfall for much of Delaware and southern New Jersey, including Dover and Georgetown. Conditions improve overnight, but additional storm chances may return later in the week. Stay alert for updated warnings and advisories from NWS Mount Holly.
