Philadelphia, PA – Mild weather conditions are expected across the Mid-Atlantic region this week, with light rain and snow accumulations of up to 0.5 inches in some areas.
According to the US National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, precipitation is expected to be minimal, with a few rounds of light rain and snow likely, particularly on Thursday, February 27. Temperatures will remain mild, offering a break from recent cold conditions.
Gradual snowmelt will continue across much of the region, but due to the slow melting rate, no river flooding is anticipated. Areas including Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia are expected to receive 0.1 to 0.35 inches of precipitation, with higher amounts in northern parts of the region.
Residents should still be prepared for wet road conditions and minor travel disruptions on Thursday. For updated river forecasts and localized weather alerts, visit weather.gov/marfc.
