Baltimore, Md. – Dry weather will grip much of the Mid-Atlantic through midweek, but conditions could shift by Thursday as a cold front moves in.
According to the National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, rainfall over the next three days will remain spotty, with most areas seeing little to no measurable accumulation. A stronger system arriving Thursday is expected to bring a broader swath of rain, but forecasters say river flooding is not a concern given the recent dry stretch.
Cities from Harrisburg, Pa., to Washington, D.C., should expect dry skies through Wednesday, with only isolated light showers popping up. The cold front on Thursday may deliver more consistent rain, providing much-needed moisture for portions of Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel impacts are not expected to be severe, but commuters may want to plan for wet roads late in the week.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts as the front approaches, as additional advisories could be issued if rainfall becomes heavier than expected.
