Philadelphia, PA – A foggy start to the morning is creating pockets of reduced visibility across eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, prompting forecasters to urge extra caution for early commuters. The National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly reports that low clouds and fog may linger through the early hours before gradually lifting.
According to meteorologists, today will remain mostly tranquil but on the cooler side, with widespread cloud cover across southern counties and occasional afternoon sunshine north of Allentown and the Poconos. High temperatures are expected to reach 47–51 degrees across much of the region, including Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, Camden, and Harrisburg.
Areas such as Reading, Lancaster, and Allentown may see brief breaks of sun, while southern New Jersey and northern Delaware are likely to stay under thicker cloud cover. Winds will remain light, helping fog develop and persist in rural and low-lying locations.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and use low-beam headlights during foggy periods. Conditions are expected to improve gradually by late morning as visibility increases.
