Washington, DC – Clear skies and seasonably cool air will make for a pleasant Saturday across the Mid-Atlantic, but residents should prepare for a warmer and more humid Sunday. Temperatures today will top out in the low to mid-80s for most, with mountain areas holding in the upper 60s to mid-70s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

According to the National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, humidity will stay low through Saturday, keeping the air comfortable despite the warming trend. Lows tonight will range from the mid-50s to low-60s in urban areas, dipping to the low-50s in higher elevations.

By Sunday, temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s, with the mountains warming into the low to upper 70s. The bigger change will be the humidity, which is expected to increase noticeably, making the day feel warmer and less comfortable.

Residents planning outdoor activities should take advantage of Saturday’s dry conditions. On Sunday, staying hydrated and limiting strenuous activity during peak afternoon heat is advised.
