Washington, DC – Cooler and occasionally cloudy conditions are expected to close out the workweek across the DC and Baltimore metro areas, according to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington.
A Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning are in effect for portions of the region tonight as overnight lows drop into the 30s and low 40s. Residents in rural and outlying areas may experience patchy frost, especially where skies clear overnight.
Highs through Saturday will stay in the upper 50s to mid-60s, typical for late October but on the cool side following recent warmth. The weekend will start mostly dry, with a mix of sun and clouds expected.
Gardeners and homeowners should take precautions to protect sensitive plants or bring them indoors before tonight’s chill sets in.
