Baltimore/Washington, DC – The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington reports that after a chilly start, temperatures will climb into the 30s today, remaining 10–15 degrees below average.
A strong clipper-type system is expected to move through the region Wednesday into Thursday, bringing moderate to heavy upslope snow along the Allegheny Mountains.

- Today (Tuesday):
- Highs in the low to mid-30s across much of the area.
- Cold but dry conditions with light winds.
- Wednesday–Thursday:
- A clipper system moves in, producing accumulating snow in western areas.
- Moderate to heavy snow likely along the Alleghenies, with upslope enhancement expected.
- Rain or snow showers may reach eastward toward the I-81 corridor.
