Mount Holly, NJ – Strong westerly winds will continue across the Mid-Atlantic today, with gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph in parts of New Jersey, Delaware, and eastern Pennsylvania, according to the US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly NJ.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect through this afternoon, with gusts strong enough to down tree limbs, blow around unsecured objects, and cause isolated power outages. Forecasters warn that wet ground and remaining foliage could increase the risk of falling branches and minor tree damage.
High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s, before dropping into the upper 40s and low 50s by this evening. Winds will gradually diminish overnight, though breezy conditions will persist into early Saturday.
Residents are urged to secure outdoor decorations, trash bins, and lightweight objects, and use caution when driving high-profile vehicles. Utility crews are on standby in case of scattered power interruptions.
