Philadelphia, PA – Rainy skies and cooler temperatures will linger across the Mid-Atlantic through Monday, dampening Father’s Day plans with scattered showers and overcast skies from Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, patchy morning showers will give way to more widespread rain by this afternoon and evening. High temperatures will stay in the 60s across most of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with slightly warmer readings—near 70—in parts of Delaware and coastal Maryland.

In Philadelphia, highs will struggle to top 66°F, with persistent clouds and light northeast winds keeping conditions cool and damp. Wilmington and Atlantic City may see slightly warmer temps near 70°F, but humid air and intermittent showers will make outdoor plans challenging.

The weather pattern isn’t expected to bring widespread flooding, but puddles, slick roads, and reduced visibility could slow travel across I-95 and the Garden State Parkway. Residents are urged to keep umbrellas handy and avoid outdoor events during the wettest periods of the day.

More showers are possible Sunday and Monday, with clouds and cool air remaining in place until at least Tuesday.
