Philadelphia, PA — A cool, breezy autumn day is on tap for the Mid-Atlantic as partly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures settle in across the region. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly reports that Thursday’s highs will largely range from the upper 40s to lower 50s across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and portions of Maryland.

Winds from the west at 10 to 20 mph, with occasional gusts near 30 mph, will keep a noticeable chill in the air despite periods of sunshine. Areas such as Allentown, Wilmington, and Trenton are forecast to land in the low 50s, while northern Pennsylvania and northwest New Jersey will stay in the mid to upper 40s. Farther south, Baltimore and Washington may reach the upper 50s.

Temperatures will hold fairly steady through Saturday, with little day-to-day change expected as the region remains under a stable pattern of cool air and shifting clouds. Nights will turn crisp, with many locations dipping into the upper 20s and 30s by early morning.

The next significant weather maker arrives late Saturday night into Sunday. A system approaching from the west will increase cloud cover Saturday afternoon before spreading measurable rain into the area overnight. Light to moderate rainfall is possible into Sunday morning, potentially affecting early-day travel and outdoor plans.

Until then, conditions remain quiet, dry, and typical for mid-November. Those heading out today may want to layer up, especially in exposed or breezy locations.
