Washington, D.C. – A cold front is bringing colder temperatures and snowfall to parts of the Mid-Atlantic today. Areas in New York and Pennsylvania will see up to 1-2 inches of snow, with heavier accumulation expected in the snowbelt regions.

According to the US National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, the cold front will move through the region, dropping temperatures and increasing snowfall chances. Buffalo and surrounding areas could receive up to 5 inches.

River levels, which have been receding, are expected to rise again next week due to widespread rainfall. Authorities urge residents in flood-prone areas to stay informed.

Travelers should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility, especially in northern New York. The National Weather Service advises checking local forecasts before heading out.
