Detroit, MI – A dangerous mix of snow, freezing rain, and black ice is set to impact Southeast Michigan late Wednesday night, creating treacherous road conditions. Drivers should prepare for slick highways and bridges as up to 0.3 inches of ice accumulates overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin Wednesday evening before transitioning to freezing rain after 10 p.m. Temperatures will fall to 26°F, increasing the risk of black ice, especially on untreated roads. Winds from the north at 7 to 9 mph may worsen visibility, making travel hazardous.

Thursday:Mostly cloudy with a high of 41°F. Roads may remain icy in the morning, but conditions improve by the afternoon. Overnight lows will drop to 21°F.

Friday:Partly sunny with a high of 30°F. Nighttime temperatures fall to 23°F under mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday:Another round of winter weather arrives, with snow and freezing rain likely in the afternoon. High near 34°F, with icy conditions possible again.

Sunday:Light snow lingers, with a high of 32°F and partly sunny skies. Lows dip to 20°F overnight.
