Detroit, MI – A significant shift in Michigan’s weather is on the way, bringing a much-needed break from the bitter cold. After days of subfreezing temperatures and light snow, a warming trend will push daytime highs into the 50s by early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will see partly sunny skies with a high near 28°F, while Saturday remains mostly sunny with similar temperatures. The warming begins Sunday as temperatures climb to the mid-30s. By Monday, highs near 40°F are expected, followed by a potential surge into the low 50s on Tuesday.
While the weekend remains dry, light rain may develop late Monday into Tuesday as warm air moves in. Those traveling on major roadways like I-94 and I-75 should prepare for melting snow, which could lead to wet roads and patchy fog.
Next week’s unseasonably warm conditions will provide a welcome break from winter, but forecasters caution that cooler temperatures could return by the end of the month. Stay updated with the latest weather alerts and prepare for changing road conditions as Michigan transitions to a milder pattern.
