Grand Rapids, MI – A cold night is ahead for Michigan, with temperatures dropping into the 20s before a warming trend begins on Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, skies will remain mostly clear overnight with southwest winds at 5-10 mph. By Friday, increasing cloud cover will push temperatures into the 50s, but a strong breeze will accompany the warmth.
A rain and snow mix is expected early Saturday as colder air returns. Gusty winds will persist throughout the weekend, with Saturday seeing partial clearing and Sunday bringing another round of showers. Highs will fluctuate from the upper 30s on Saturday to the mid-40s by Monday.
Lingering showers may extend into Monday morning before giving way to drier conditions. Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny with highs in the upper 40s. Residents should prepare for slick roads early Saturday and remain cautious of strong winds throughout the weekend.
