DETROIT, Mich. – A few light showers will pass through southeast Michigan early Wednesday before breezy and cooler conditions set in by afternoon. Northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph will bring in drier air, clearing skies by evening. Highs will top out near 60 degrees, followed by overnight lows dipping into the lower 30s across inland suburbs.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, a stretch of quieter and sunnier weather returns Thursday with highs in the low 50s. Winds will ease, providing a crisp but comfortable fall day ideal for outdoor activities and raking leaves. Skies will stay mostly clear into Thursday night as lows fall again into the 30s.
Another system will approach Friday morning, spreading rain across the region from Ann Arbor to Port Huron. Temperatures will rebound slightly into the mid-50s to near 60 by afternoon before another cool push arrives late in the day. The pattern remains active into the weekend with variable clouds and seasonable temperatures.
Commuters should watch for wet roads early Friday and plan for brisk conditions midweek. The National Weather Service recommends securing loose outdoor decorations and dressing in layers as autumn chill settles in again by Friday night.
