Detroit, MI – Michigan residents can expect a windy start to the workweek, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph on Monday. Temperatures will be in the mid-30s, but strong winds may make it feel much colder, especially for those traveling along I-75 and other major roadways.

According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, Monday will bring mostly sunny skies but breezy conditions, with sustained winds between 15 and 18 mph and gusts as high as 50 mph. Drivers are advised to secure loose items, exercise caution on the roads, and prepare for possible delays caused by high winds. A chance of light snow returns Monday night as temperatures dip into the low 20s.

The rest of the week will feature fluctuating conditions. Tuesday is expected to remain dry and mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees. By Wednesday, a slight chance of snow showers develops after 1 p.m., paired with highs in the mid-30s. Lows by Wednesday night could plummet to the mid-teens.

Thursday and Friday look calmer, with partly sunny skies and daytime highs in the mid-30s. Overnight lows will linger in the teens, keeping conditions chilly throughout the week. Residents should continue monitoring local forecasts for updates on snow and wind conditions, especially as midweek approaches.

Stay prepared for shifting weather patterns and potential travel hazards as the week unfolds.
