Detroit, MI – Residents across southeast Michigan can expect a stretch of dry and sunny weather this week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Detroit/Pontiac. While temperatures begin above normal, a noticeable cooldown will settle in by midweek.

According to the NWS, Monday’s highs are forecast between 77 and 83 degrees, with plenty of sunshine. Conditions remain mostly sunny into Tuesday, though temperatures will slightly dip, ranging from 73 to 80 degrees.

By Wednesday, cooler air arrives, with highs only reaching the upper 60s to low 70s. Lows will also turn crisper, dropping into the mid-40s to low 50s. The trend continues into Thursday, with daytime temperatures hovering around 67 to 73 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

Meteorologists say the shift is tied to a high-pressure system that is keeping skies clear while steering in seasonal air during the middle of the week. Rain chances remain minimal throughout the forecast period, offering a stable stretch for outdoor plans.

For southeast Michigan residents, the warm start will feel more like late summer, but by Wednesday, fall-like conditions will return—aligning with seasonal averages for late September.
