Marquette, MI – Snow and rain showers are expected to continue in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula this morning, before skies begin to clear in the afternoon. Temperatures today will range from 36°F to 46°F across the region, with a slight warmup in the southern areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, the Lake Superior region may experience lake effect snow beginning Sunday, which will last through Monday. The snow could accumulate, particularly in areas closer to the lake.
By tonight, temperatures will drop between 19°F and 29°F. Sunday and Monday will see high temperatures between 32°F and 44°F, with colder conditions in northern areas.
Local residents are advised to prepare for possible disruptions to travel due to icy conditions and snow accumulation, particularly near the lakefront. Winter weather precautions should be taken, including ensuring vehicles are prepared for snow and ice.
