Detroit, MI – A low-pressure system is bringing rain and a chance of snow to Michigan today, with cooler temperatures arriving Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Detroit/Pontiac, periods of rain will persist throughout the day. Melting snow may lead to ponding on roads. A late-afternoon changeover to wet snow is possible, but accumulation should remain minimal.

Highs today will range from 36 to 39 degrees across southeastern Michigan. Tonight’s lows will drop into the teens and low 20s. Cooler and drier conditions will follow on Saturday, with partly cloudy skies and highs between 22 and 31 degrees.

Sunday will be slightly warmer, with highs reaching the upper 30s to mid-40s. A 30-50% chance of precipitation remains in the forecast.

Drivers should remain cautious as wet roads and falling temperatures could create icy patches overnight. Stay updated with the latest weather alerts.
