Gaylord, MI – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for parts of Northern Michigan, bringing additional snowfall and gusty winds that could impact travel through Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, areas including Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Antrim, and Otsego counties are expected to receive between 1 to 3 more inches of snow. Winds could gust up to 35 mph, leading to hazardous driving conditions. The advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. EDT.

Meanwhile, Benzie, Leelanau, and Manistee counties will see up to 2 inches of snow, with winds reaching 30 mph. The advisory for these areas is set to expire at 5 p.m. EDT.

Drivers should prepare for slick roads, especially on bridges and overpasses. Officials urge motorists to slow down and use caution while traveling. Pedestrians are also advised to watch for icy sidewalks and steps to prevent injuries.
