The investigation showed Patrick Robbins, 66, of Dowagiac, was driving eastbound on Dixon Street and attempted to turn into Silver Creek Township Hall when he allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was struck by a westbound car driven by Jaclyn Gillenwater, 27, of Hartford.
Authorities said Robbins’ passenger, Tammy Robbins, 64, also of Dowagiac, was injured in the crash. She was transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Beacon Dowagiac Hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been released.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that Gillenwater was not injured. Assisting agencies included SMCAS Ambulance and the Sister Lakes Fire Department.
