Silver Creek Township, MI – A two-vehicle crash late Wednesday morning in Cass County left one person hospitalized after a collision at the intersection of Dixon Street and Indian Lake Road.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash around 11:29 a.m. Wednesday. The investigation showed Patrick Robbins, 66, of Dowagiac, was driving eastbound on Dixon Street and attempted to turn into Silver Creek Township Hall when he allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His vehicle was struck by a westbound car driven by Jaclyn Gillenwater, 27, of Hartford.

Authorities said Robbins’ passenger, Tammy Robbins, 64, also of Dowagiac, was injured in the crash. She was transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Beacon Dowagiac Hospital for treatment. The extent of her injuries has not been released.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that Gillenwater was not injured. Assisting agencies included SMCAS Ambulance and the Sister Lakes Fire Department.

The incident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
