Marquette, Michigan – Scattered thunderstorms could roll into Marquette by late Tuesday morning, bringing brief downpours, lightning, and travel delays to US-41 and nearby roads. Drivers heading out between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. should plan for slower conditions and possible standing water.

According to the National Weather Service in Marquette, there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms starting after 7 a.m. Tuesday, with more showers possible Tuesday night between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Winds will stay light but could shift north by afternoon. Highs will reach around 72°F before dropping into the mid-50s overnight.

While no severe weather is expected, Tuesday’s storms could briefly disrupt outdoor plans and early travel. Keep weather radios and alerts turned on, and avoid open areas or high ground during any lightning.

Wednesday will bring drier air, with partly sunny skies and a high near 66°F. Thursday warms up to 74°F and mostly sunny — a good window for yard work or lake plans before more showers return Friday.
