Newton Township, MI – A narcotics-related search warrant carried out Sunday in Newton Township led to the recovery of suspected drugs and a firearm, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed the warrant August 24 at a residence in the 10000 block of 8 Mile Road after investigators established probable cause based on multiple tips. The Calhoun County Special Response Team conducted the search, locating several individuals at the property. Authorities said additional arrest warrants are expected as the investigation continues.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that multiple agencies assisted in the operation, including LifeCare Ambulance Authority, Marshall Police Department, Albion Department of Public Safety, and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Police.
