Chelsea, MI – Charges have been announced against a Dearborn man in connection to a multi-county death investigation after the body of a Brazilian woman was discovered in Northfield Township.
According to authorities, pedestrians found the body of Suzan Barbosa-Ferreira, 42, on June 30 in a culvert along Earhart Road. Following an investigation, the Dearborn Police Department, working with Northfield Township Police, traced the victim’s last known location to a Dearborn residence. On July 9, Fareed George Hajjar, 57, was arrested.
The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Hajjar with disinterment and mutilation of a dead body and concealing the death of an individual. He is held on a $2 million bond with a probable cause hearing set for July 25.
