Macomb Township, MI – Deputies arrested five suspects after an armed robbery at a Macomb Township gas station early Wednesday morning.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, three men entered the Mobile Gas Station at 21 Mile and Hayes Roads around 3:07 a.m. They walked through the aisles before approaching the clerk. One suspect demanded money while implying he had a weapon. Fearing for his safety, the clerk fled the store. The suspects then stole 85 Breeze Vapes, Black and Mild Swisher cigars, and Hostess donuts before escaping in a white SUV.
Deputies responded to a welfare check at a mobile home on Chevalier Drive at 3:29 a.m. A caller reported his girlfriend was trapped inside with the robbery suspects. Deputies arrived and found three small white SUVs outside. They arrested three men, aged 33, 20, and 18, along with an 18-year-old woman. Later, they arrested a juvenile suspect.
All five remain in custody as deputies seek charges through the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
