Gaylord, Michigan – Clear skies and a welcome burst of sunshine return to Northern Michigan on Sunday, offering a brief break from Saturday’s heavy rain and storms. With roads drying out and temperatures reaching near 80°F, residents across Otsego County can expect a calmer end to the weekend — but it won’t last long.

According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, Sunday will be mostly sunny and mild, with highs around 80°F and calm west winds near 10 mph. Spotter activation may still be needed Saturday night, but no hazardous weather is expected on Sunday. However, isolated thunderstorm chances return late Tuesday into Tuesday night, especially across Northeast Lower Michigan.
