Grand Rapids, MI – A quick and aggressive response from Grand Rapids firefighters led to the rescue of a victim from a burning townhouse on the city’s southeast side. Engine 4 arrived at the scene to find a working fire on the second floor of the two-story wood-frame residence.
According to the Grand Rapids Fire Department, crews launched an immediate interior attack, locating and removing the victim in just 1 minute and 56 seconds. Firefighters were able to swiftly knock down the flames, preventing further spread of the fire. The rescued individual received immediate medical attention.
