Port Huron, MI – A Port Huron father is in custody after a Thursday morning shooting left one teenager dead and two younger children critically wounded, according to police.

The Port Huron Police Department said officers responded to multiple 911 calls around 6:10 a.m. on September 11, 2025, in the 2800 block of Glenview Court. Officers found three victims, all under the age of 18, suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, a 17-year-old boy was later pronounced dead. A 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl remain in critical but stable condition and were transferred to Detroit-area hospitals for advanced treatment.

Investigators said the suspect, a 44-year-old man who is the father of the children, was arrested at the scene without incident. Preliminary findings indicate the shooting was domestic-related. Police said the man has cooperated with investigators and remains in custody while criminal charges are prepared.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation,” the department stated, noting that updates will be released as more information becomes available.

Authorities emphasized the shooting was an isolated domestic incident and that there is no broader threat to the Port Huron community.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Port Huron Police Department at (810) 984-8415 or the department’s Major Crimes Unit at (810) 984-5383.
