Ionia, MI – Three people were seriously injured Thursday after a two-vehicle crash on N. State Road (M-66) in Ionia County.
According to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened at about 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of N. State Road and Dildine Road. Investigators said a 2012 Dodge Ram traveling eastbound on Dildine failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 2020 Ford F-150 traveling on N. State Road.
Authorities said the Dodge Ram’s driver was uninjured, but all three occupants of the Ford sustained serious injuries. They were transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital for treatment. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash, officials said.
Responding agencies included the Ionia Department of Public Safety, Michigan State Police, Life Ambulance, Portland Ambulance, Ionia County Central Dispatch, Ionia County Road Department, and Ionia County Central Dispatch.
The crash remains under investigation.
