Grand Rapids, MI – Meijer has issued a recall for about 6,050 Konwin Desktop Heaters due to a defect that could cause the units to overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall affects Konwin model BHN2133, which features a white plastic frame with a black fan and grill cover. The retailer has received eight reports of fans burning or melting, though no injuries have been reported.
The heaters were sold exclusively at Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kentucky between September 2024 and January 2025 for $25 to $40. Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return it to any Meijer location for a full refund.
