Ann Arbor, MI – A 26-year-old woman is facing a bank robbery charge after police say she allegedly passed a threatening note to a teller at a PNC Bank in Ann Arbor earlier this week.

According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:35 p.m. Thursday to the PNC Bank located at 2992 S. Main St. for a report of a bank robbery. Investigators said a woman entered the bank and allegedly handed a note to a teller demanding money. The note reportedly indicated she had an explosive device and a firearm, though no explosive device or weapon was seen during the incident.

Police said the teller gave the woman an undisclosed amount of cash before she fled the area. Officers arrived shortly afterward and evacuated the building as a precaution. A K9 sweep of the bank was conducted, and authorities confirmed that no explosive device was located.

Detectives later identified the suspect as 26-year-old Christina Ikerd of Wayne. She was taken into custody Friday without incident.

On Saturday, Ikerd was arraigned on one count of bank robbery in 14A-1 District Court. Her bond was set at $75,000 cash. The charge remains an allegation, and she is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Police credited coordinated efforts between patrol officers and detectives for the swift identification and arrest.

The investigation remains ongoing.
