Monroe, MI – A Toledo man faces charges in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash on I-75 in Monroe County. The crash, which occurred on May 25, claimed the life of Christopher L. Taylor, 49, of Trenton, Michigan.
Stacey R. Dillard, 55, allegedly sideswiped Taylor’s Harley-Davidson while driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, resulting in the fatal incident. Taylor was traveling northbound in the center lane when the crash occurred near Bay Creek Road in Erie Township.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals apprehended Dillard on October 2 in Toledo. Dillard was extradited to Michigan and charged with OWI causing death and driving while license suspended causing death. He was arraigned on October 8, and bond was set at $500,000.
The investigation continues under Lieutenant Brian Quinn and other officials from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Division.
