According to the National Weather Service in Miami, scattered to numerous thunderstorms will continue to build into the night, with heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning possible. Rain chances remain high, with Miami seeing a 70% likelihood of storms, Naples and Fort Lauderdale at 60%, and West Palm Beach at 50%.
The most immediate impacts will be on travel, with slick roads and reduced visibility during heavy downpours. Lightning could also pose a hazard at outdoor events, while localized flooding may affect low-lying neighborhoods and intersections across Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
