Tampa, FL – Florida residents can expect a mix of sunshine and storms this weekend as spring weather patterns bring shifting conditions across the state. As clocks spring forward early Sunday morning, travelers and beachgoers should prepare for changing weather, including a high surf advisory in the Tampa Bay area and scattered thunderstorms across multiple regions.

According to the National Weather Service, a high surf advisory remains in effect for Tampa until 7 a.m. Friday. This weekend, showers and possible thunderstorms will develop across Florida, particularly on Saturday night and Sunday, with up to an 80% chance of rain in some areas.

Miami will see temperatures rise into the low 80s with mostly sunny skies on Saturday, but a chance of showers arrives late Sunday. In Tallahassee, scattered showers are expected Saturday afternoon, with a high near 72°F. Central Florida, including Orlando and Tampa, will also see increasing cloud cover and possible thunderstorms by Sunday night.

Looking ahead, Monday brings lingering rain chances, but Florida’s weather will clear up by Tuesday, with sunshine and highs in the mid-to-upper 70s through midweek.

As daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, residents should set their clocks forward one hour and prepare for earlier sunsets. Travelers should stay updated on local weather alerts and drive cautiously during wet conditions.
