Miami, FL – Breezy northerly winds behind a departing cold front will bring the coldest air of the season to South Florida tonight, with wind chills expected to dip into the low 40s west of Lake Okeechobee by early Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Miami, overnight lows will fall into the upper 40s around Lakeport and La Belle, with low 50s across areas like Immokalee and Belle Glade. Temperatures along the Gulf, including Naples and Everglades City, are expected to hover near 50°, while metro areas like West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale will remain in the upper 50s to around 60°.
Feels-like temperatures — due to persistent north winds — could drop to 42° in Buckhead Ridge, 43° in La Belle, and 45° in Immokalee. While not record-breaking, these readings mark a sharp shift for residents used to mild November nights and could prompt heavier jacket use during the Friday morning commute.
Drivers in inland areas should watch for fog patches early Friday due to radiational cooling. Residents should consider limiting outdoor activity during the early morning hours, especially for children or those sensitive to cooler air.
More seasonable warmth is expected to return by the weekend, but another cold front could develop early next week.
