Florida – Palm trees sway hard against steady winds this morning as the Atlantic churns under a bright but restless sky. Along the Miami coast, whitecaps already hint at rough seas—and the National Weather Service warns that rip currents could pose a serious hazard from Friday morning through Saturday evening across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Winds from the northeast will strengthen through Friday, gusting between 20 and 25 mph, making conditions dangerous for swimmers and boaters. Meteorologists say even experienced swimmers could be pulled into deeper water by strong, shifting currents. Beachgoers should swim near lifeguards and avoid venturing into rough surf.

Friday’s inland weather stays mostly dry but breezy, with highs near 74°F and partly sunny skies. Saturday warms into the upper 70s, though gusty winds continue, keeping surf rough and flags flying red along most beaches. By Sunday, humidity builds and isolated thunderstorms may develop, signaling the start of a wetter early-December trend.

NOAA’s extended outlook suggests above-normal rainfall and near-normal temperatures into the first week of December, meaning South Florida may trade sunshine for a few unsettled afternoons next week.
