Palm Beach, FL – Heavy afternoon rain brought flooding concerns across southeast Florida on Wednesday as storms dumped up to two inches of rain over Palm Beach County. The National Weather Service in Miami issued a Flood Advisory in effect until 5:15 p.m. as water pooled on roads and in poor-drainage areas.

According to the National Weather Service, Doppler radar showed bands of thunderstorms producing intense downpours across Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta, Juno Beach, Limestone Creek, Philo Farms, and Jupiter Farms. Between one and two inches of rain had already fallen by midafternoon, with another one to two inches possible before the storms taper off.

Minor flooding has been reported on several neighborhood roads and intersections, especially in low-lying coastal zones. Drivers are urged to avoid flooded routes, as even shallow water can stall vehicles or conceal debris.

Residents are advised to monitor local alerts and avoid unnecessary travel until rainfall subsides later Wednesday evening. More showers and isolated thunderstorms remain possible into Thursday.
