Miami, FL – A weak cold front is sweeping through South Florida tonight into Thursday, ushering in a slight but noticeable cool down across the region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Miami.

Temperatures will dip into the 50s and 60s overnight, with cooler inland areas possibly dropping into the upper 40s by late week. Daytime highs are expected to remain comfortable in the low to mid-70s under mostly sunny skies.

The NWS says humidity levels will decrease, giving residents a refreshing change after recent warmth and moisture. Despite the front’s passage, rain chances remain near zero, and skies will stay mostly clear through the weekend.

“Cooler conditions look likely starting tonight as another front moves across the area,” forecasters said. “Temperatures will warm up again by early next week.”

The shift in temperatures will be most noticeable overnight and during early morning hours, especially in interior sections of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Collier counties. Coastal areas will experience milder lows in the 60s with light north to northwest winds around 5–10 mph.

No hazardous weather is expected, but residents may want to bring in sensitive plants or pets during the coolest nights. Drivers should also be aware of potential patchy fog in rural areas before sunrise Thursday.

After the brief cool spell, temperatures are forecast to rebound into the upper 70s to near 80 by the weekend, maintaining dry and pleasant conditions for outdoor plans.
