Atlanta, Georgia – North and central Georgia are in for several days of sunshine and climbing temperatures, with only a brief chance of rain in the far north on Sunday. Areas from Atlanta to Macon should stay dry through midweek, offering a break from recent stormy conditions.
According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, a few scattered storms may develop across far northern counties on Sunday, but most of Georgia will see clear skies and warmer air through Wednesday. Highs will range from the upper 70s to mid-80s across the state, with some southern areas nearing 90°F by Tuesday.
Cities like Rome and Blairsville could see Sunday showers, but Athens, Columbus, and Savannah remain mostly sunny. Overnight lows will stay mild, dipping into the 50s and low 60s. The dry stretch is expected to benefit travelers and outdoor plans across the region.
Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated as temperatures rise, especially during afternoon hours. With little rainfall expected, this warm spell could also raise early drought concerns if it persists into next week.
More updates will be issued if Sunday’s storms intensify or new advisories are posted.
