Memphis, TN – Unseasonably warm conditions will continue across the Mid-South this week, with temperatures running 5 to 15 degrees above normal through Friday. Forecasters say highs will climb into the mid-70s to lower 80s, keeping the region locked in a warm pattern before cooler air returns next weekend.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Memphis, warm and dry weather will persist across western Tennessee, northern Mississippi, eastern Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel over the next several days. Cities including Memphis, Jonesboro, Dyersburg, Corinth and Tupelo will experience well-above-average temperatures, with many locations reaching the upper 70s and low 80s through Thursday and Friday.
Low temperatures will also trend warmer, remaining in the upper 50s to lower 60s tonight through the end of the workweek. These values sit well above climatological norms for mid-November, which typically feature lows in the 40s.
A pattern shift is expected by next weekend as a cold front moves across the region. Highs will fall back into the low to mid-60s, with nighttime lows dipping into the 40s, offering a return to seasonal conditions. While the front may bring brief periods of increased cloud cover, widespread rain is not currently expected.
NWS officials note that the extended stretch of warm weather could impact outdoor activities, energy usage and early holiday travel preparations. Residents planning weekend events may want to monitor temperature trends as cooler air approaches.
For now, the warm pattern holds steady across the Mid-South, with little change expected until the weekend.
