Memphis, TN – Residents across the Mid-South can expect a classic stretch of fall weather this week with cool mornings and mild, sunny afternoons, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Cool and dry conditions are forecast to continue through Thursday, with daily highs mainly in the low to mid-70s and overnight lows dropping into the 50s. Forecasters say the pleasant pattern will hold for several days before moisture begins to build back in late in the week.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances are expected to return Friday night into Saturday, bringing scattered showers across the region. The system could briefly interrupt outdoor weekend plans but is not expected to produce severe weather at this time.

Communities including Memphis, Jackson, Dyersburg, and Tupelo will share similar trends — crisp starts to the day, followed by comfortable afternoons. Those attending football games or outdoor events midweek can expect ideal conditions before the next round of wet weather approaches.

More updates are expected as the weekend draws near.
