Memphis, TN – Cool, dry weather has arrived across the Mid-South, bringing comfortable days and crisp nights through the end of the week. According to the US National Weather Service Memphis, temperatures will stay below normal before warming back up by the weekend.

Highs are expected to remain mainly in the 70s through Friday, with a gradual rise into the lower to mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-40s to lower 50s from Thursday through early Saturday, providing a true taste of early fall.

Forecasters say dry conditions will persist across the region, offering several clear days with little to no rain expected. This pattern will favor outdoor events and travel but could also contribute to dry soil and increased fire danger in rural areas.

The warm-up heading into the weekend will bring above-average temperatures, especially during the afternoons. Cities including Memphis, Jackson, and Jonesboro are forecast to see highs near 83°F by Sunday, before slightly cooler weather returns next week.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the mild stretch for outdoor plans but remain mindful of dry vegetation and fire safety.
