Memphis, TN – Residents of Memphis can expect a brief respite from the intense summer heat today, with temperatures dipping slightly below the 90-degree mark. However, this relief will be short-lived as the National Weather Service warns of a swift return to high temperatures starting tomorrow.

According to the US National Weather Service Memphis, today’s high will hover around the mid-80s, offering a brief break for air conditioning units working overtime in recent days. However, this minor cool-down is set to reverse quickly. By tomorrow, temperatures are forecasted to climb back into the 90s and persist into the upcoming week.

Friday’s forecast shows a high of 93°F with mostly clear skies, followed by a significant rise on Saturday, reaching up to 96°F under sunny conditions. Sunday brings a slight chance of showers with a 40% probability, but temperatures will still peak at 91°F. The pattern of scorching weather will continue into next week, with highs of 89°F on Monday, 95°F on Tuesday, and 94°F on Wednesday.
