Memphis, TN – Warm temperatures will dominate the Mid-South through Friday, with near certainty that highs will push well into the 70s and even 80s before a weekend cooldown arrives.
According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, there is a 100% chance that temperatures exceed 70°F Thursday across Memphis, Jackson, and Jonesboro, with similar confidence continuing into Friday. This extended stretch of above-normal warmth will keep conditions feeling more like late spring than late March.
Cities across West Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas—including Memphis, Tupelo, and Oxford—will see the most consistent warmth through the end of the workweek. The prolonged mild pattern may increase pollen levels and early-season outdoor activity, while also drying out soils in some areas.
A cold front will move through late Friday into early Saturday, bringing a noticeable shift. Highs will fall back into more seasonable ranges over the weekend, offering a brief break from the warmth.
Another warm-up is expected early next week, with above-normal temperatures likely returning across the region. Additional updates may follow as the next system approaches.
