Medford, Ore. – Showers are expected to move across southern Oregon overnight, with isolated thunderstorms possible before dawn Sunday, creating slick roads for early drivers. Rain chances drop quickly after sunrise, setting the stage for a drier and much warmer stretch.

According to the National Weather Service in Medford, rainfall could linger through 8 a.m. Sunday, with a 40% chance of showers before skies clear. Highs will reach near 78 degrees Sunday afternoon before temperatures climb sharply into the upper 80s and low 90s early next week.

North winds may gust up to 10 mph overnight into Sunday, but conditions turn calm by Sunday evening. Beginning Monday, residents across the Rogue Valley, including Ashland, Central Point, and Eagle Point, can expect sunny skies with highs from the upper 80s to mid-90s, peaking Tuesday at 94.

Travelers are advised to remain cautious through Sunday morning while roads remain wet. By midweek, heat will become the main concern, with warm afternoons and clear, cooler nights.
