Cleveland, Ohio – Snow bands streaming off Lake Erie will reach Crawford County by 10 p.m. Sunday, setting up slippery roads and reduced visibility through early Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Tuesday for Crawford County, including Meadville and Titusville. While light snow during the day Sunday will have limited impact, lake-enhanced snow is expected to intensify overnight. Total accumulations between 2 and 5 inches are likely, with periods of moderate to heavy snowfall possible late Sunday night and at times Monday.

Roads such as U.S. Route 322, Route 27 and stretches of Interstate 79 may become snow covered, especially during heavier bursts. Visibility could drop quickly under stronger bands, creating hazardous conditions for both the Monday morning and evening commutes.

PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission urge drivers to delay unnecessary travel and monitor real-time updates at 511PA.com. Motorists should reduce speed and increase following distance on untreated roads.

Snow showers may linger into early Tuesday before tapering off. Additional advisories could be issued if bands persist longer or intensify.
