Boston, Mass. – A picture-perfect Saturday is on tap for much of Massachusetts before heat, humidity, and a late-day storm threat rolls in to close the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Friday night will be clear and cool, with lows in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Low clouds and patchy fog may develop over Cape Cod and the Islands by early morning. Saturday will bring highs between 79 and 87 degrees under mostly sunny skies, making for ideal beach and outdoor plans statewide.
By Sunday, warmer air and rising humidity will push highs into the low 90s in inland areas, with Cape and coastal highs in the 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop in the afternoon and evening, potentially impacting travel and outdoor events. Storms may bring brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and lightning.
Residents should keep an eye on updated forecasts, especially for outdoor gatherings late Sunday. Storm chances will taper off overnight, but unsettled conditions could return early next week.
