Boston, MA – After enduring a week of below-normal temperatures, Boston residents can expect a gradual warmup heading into the weekend, with highs reaching the 40s by Sunday and Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, dry conditions will persist through Friday and Saturday, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 20s to low 30s. However, temperatures are forecast to climb to 35–40 degrees by Sunday and continue to trend warmer into Monday, offering some relief from the recent Arctic chill.
Nighttime lows will remain cold, hovering between 13–25 degrees, but overall conditions will feel significantly milder compared to earlier in the week.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the improved weather for outdoor activities. However, caution is still advised on icy sidewalks and roads, especially during the early morning hours.
This weekend’s warmer temperatures mark the start of a gradual return to seasonal norms for the region, a welcome change after days of single-digit wind chills and subfreezing conditions.
