Boston, MA – A cold front will sweep through Massachusetts over the next few days, bringing frigid temperatures and light snow to parts of the region. On Thursday, Cape Cod and the Islands will see occasional snow showers with accumulation limited to less than half an inch.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday’s high will reach 29°F, with clouds giving way to partial sunshine across the state. Conditions will turn colder overnight as temperatures dip to 19°F in Boston, with winds increasing to 11 mph.

Friday will be sunny but cold, with highs only reaching 31°F. However, Friday night will bring the coldest conditions of the week, as temperatures drop to 14°F with light northwest winds. Residents are urged to take precautions against frostbite and hypothermia by bundling up if venturing outdoors.

The weekend promises brighter skies but continued chill, with sunny conditions on Saturday and a high of 28°F. Sunday will see a slight warming trend, reaching a high of 37°F under partly sunny skies. Nighttime lows will remain in the teens, making for continued cold evenings.
